The 7th CISM Military World Games was held in Wuhan, China, from October 18 to 27, 2019. As the first Military World Games to host all events in one city, the event brought together venues and key urban areas across Wuhan. HIPO Lighting supplied professional outdoor lighting fixtures for more than 45 project nodes across 10 districts, contributing to the city's architectural and landscape lighting upgrade.

On October 18, 2019, the opening ceremony of the 7th CISM Military World Games was held at Wuhan Sports Center. The event took place in Wuhan from October 18 to 27, 2019, bringing together athletes and military delegations from 109 countries.
The Games featured 27 sports and 329 events, with 31 planned competition venues and facilities, including 10 newly constructed venues and 21 renovated facilities. The venues were distributed across four major areas of Wuhan: Houhu, Dunkou, Optics Valley and Huangjiahu.
Beyond the competition venues, the lighting plan extended into major urban corridors, public spaces, waterfront areas and key architectural landmarks, helping enhance the city's nighttime environment and support public activities and the night-time economy.
The opening ceremony was held at Wuhan Sports Center under the theme “Create Military Glory, Build World Peace.”
The Wuhan Military Games Landscape Lighting Project was completed in September 2019 as part of the city's preparation for the 7th CISM Military World Games.
The project was designed to integrate architectural lighting, landscape lighting and urban lighting into key event-related areas and city corridors.

The lighting strategy combined major event requirements with long-term urban development, focusing on key waterfront areas, scenic destinations, sports venues and important transportation routes.
As one of Wuhan's most recognizable urban landscapes and an important public recreation area, the Two Rivers and Four Banks area was planned as a major nighttime visual landmark.
The lighting concept incorporated large-scale light displays and traditional Chinese visual elements, highlighting Wuhan's riverside urban character and creating a distinctive nighttime cityscape.
The East Lake area followed the concept of "Chu-style landscapes and a highlighted East Lak", using architectural and landscape lighting to express a calm, elegant and refined nighttime environment inspired by traditional Chinese landscape aesthetics.
The Wuhan Sports Center included the stadium, gymnasium and swimming center. The lighting design supported the sports venues while using nighttime illumination to communicate the themes of sports, peace and international exchange.
The project also incorporated 25 key guarantee routes covering major construction areas identified in Wuhan's urban development planning.
These routes formed an important lighting network connecting event venues, transportation corridors and major urban areas, while also contributing to the city's broader nighttime environment.

The Changjiang Daily Headquarters Building was one of the representative architectural lighting projects completed in 2019. Multiple lighting products were used to create a layered facade lighting effect, including HLS-5015, HWW-111, HWW-3281, HWW-314, HWW-329 and HWW-325.
Lighting fixtures were also applied along the Jinshan Avenue and Houhu area, forming part of the wider urban lighting network supporting the Military Games.
The airport area included lighting applications for the China Eastern Airlines Building, Customs Building and Air Traffic Control Center, providing architectural illumination for key buildings within an important transportation gateway.
The East Lake Hotel formed part of the East Lake area's landscape and architectural lighting network.
Lighting was applied around the Shouyi Square and Xinhai Revolution Museum area, integrating architectural illumination with the surrounding urban environment.
Lighting applications were incorporated into the historic and commercial environment around Huanghe Tower Ancient Street.
Huangjiahu and Qingling were among the project areas covered by the city's Military Games-related lighting improvements.
The Northwest Lake Cherry Grove was included in the landscape lighting network, combining public landscape enhancement with the broader urban nighttime environment.
The Red T Creative Street was another representative commercial and cultural area included in the project.
Landscape lighting was applied within the historic and cultural park area, supporting nighttime landscape presentation.
Wanjia Lake was another representative landscape lighting node within Caidian District.
Lighting applications along Hanzheng Street contributed to the nighttime environment of one of Wuhan's important commercial areas.
